Having spoken to senior members of the club at Keith and the very well recognised and respected Bobby Wilson, the former Ross County manager and father of Inverness Caley Thistle player Barry, yesterday it was only right that day two was all about the two players who have already won Championship medals with the Maroons.

Darren Still and Derek Nicol were star men for the Kynoch Park club during their Millennium trophy win, driving their side forward and often dragging their team mates with them. This time round there rightly seems to have been a greater balance of praise spread throughout the squad but it certainly doesnt make their own contribution any less important. So what did they make of it all second time round?

Snippet: Absolutely delighted as you can imagine. It was a very very nervewracking last couple of minutes there. We knew we had done the job ourselves; three nil up, we were cruising at the end there so everybody was looking over to the dugout for some guidance.

I think justice is done because I think we have been the best team this season. I think most people would agree with that. It will be hard on Inverurie Locos right now but they are a good side and I am sure they will come back fighting next year, I would expect that from them but we are going to enjoy it. I think we have deserved it.

Last weeks winner has won us the league basically as todays game was a cruise and Martin Wood, next season with a full season of Highland League, I dont think there will be a better player than him.

Snippet: I think we like doing things the hard way. I dont think we have been top of the league all season, I suppose we have went top when it matters really but I wouldnt mind doing it with a few games to spare. The two that we have won have both been last day wins, or losses, for either team.

It is a bit easier winning it from the back. Its a lot harder winning it from the front but we have young boys up there banging in the goals so they dont need me up there now.
