Cove Rangers have secured their Scottish Semi Professional Four Nations Tournament selected player Clark Bain on a new one year contract and the former Peterhead pocket dynamo midfielder or full back is ending his season on the perfect high.

Bain was originally at Cove on loan from the Blue Toon club before going back to fight for his place before the move was eventually made permanent and Cove fans have this season seen a player who has given consistent performances week in week out to rightly earn his call up.

He will of course have team mate Craig MacMillan for company in the squad, both players having been part of a fantastic effort on Saturday that saw the Toonsers produce the goods to deny Inverurie Locos the chance to become champions.

After the game John Innes caught up with the player for his thoughts on the game, the contract renewal and of course the forthcoming action in Dingwall starting in a fortnight.

Snippet: A tough game to come here and get a result. I thought the boys did well, there was nothing really to play for apart from get higher than Nairn in the League. It was a good performance from the boys we look forward to next season.
